None of us were given a manual. I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in grief therapy. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a major life change, navigating grief can feel overwhelming. How It Works

What To Expect In Session

Starting grief therapy is a step toward healing and finding a way forward. Here’s what you can expect from the process:

  • Initial Consultation – In the first one or two sessions, we’ll explore your loss, emotions, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
  • Personalized Healing Plan – Together, we’ll identify the challenges you’re facing and create a compassionate roadmap for processing grief.
  • Weekly Sessions – Regular 45-minute sessions (or more frequent if needed) will help you work through emotions, build resilience, and find healthy coping strategies.
  • Ongoing Support & Adjustments – As your grief journey evolves, so will your therapy. We’ll reassess your needs and adjust your approach to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

Meet our therapy dog

Yoko

My dog, Yoko, is a therapy dog and will sometimes be with me during sessions. She is a 9-pound, 3 year-old Habibi Bear (Havanese/Bichon mix). Habibi Bears are non-shedding and allergy-friendly, and they have an excellent temperament. She loves greeting people, going to sporting events, giving kisses, cuddling, sitting in laps, doing tricks, playing hide and seek, and tug of war. She is a registered Advanced Therapy Dog with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
